Restaurant Mátyás Pince
A truly historic restaurant in the heart of Budapest! Our restaurant, which opened in 1904 and serves traditional Hungarian specialities, has won renown the world over. The furnishings and fittings all recall the age and deeds of the great Hungarian ruler King Matthias (15th century). The lively mood is heightened by waiters and waitresses dressed in period costume. In the evening one of the world's most famous Gypsy violinists, Sándor Déki Lakatos, and band perform for guests. SÁndor plays for our guests only in Hungary.
